GST/HST Changes & Holiday Tax Break
Important Update:
We are delighted to announce that the government will implement a GST/HST holiday tax relief initiative, effective December 14, 2024, designed to help families save on essential baby products during the holiday season.
What Are the Changes?
Under the new regulations:
• All orders will include GST/HST based on your province of delivery, reflecting updated government requirements.
• From December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025, certain eligible baby products will be exempt from tax—no GST or HST will be charged on qualifying items during this timeframe.
What Categories Are Included?
This government initiative seeks to ease financial pressures during the holiday season by lowering the prices of essential baby products as outlined below.

• Children’s clothing, including socks, hats, mittens
• Children's footwear
• Car Seats
• Select toys – board/card games, imitation toys (dolls, cars, action figures), dolls, soft toys, constructions toys

GST/HST Break FAQs
Why does my checkout page still indicate the presence of tax?
The system will automatically calculate the tax for the order based on the shipping address provided. Please click on checkout, fill in the shipping address, and the system will promptly update the Tax.
Do I need to do anything to claim the tax break?
The tax exemption will be automatically applied to qualifying items throughout the holiday season.
Will I see tax break applied at check out page?
Certainly! If your purchase consists of qualifying items, the GST/HST holiday tax exemption will be automatically applied at checkout throughout the duration of the tax holiday.
Does the tax break apply to sale or clearance items?
Certainly! The tax exemption applies to the product as long as it meets the criteria established by the government, irrespective of whether it is sold at its regular price, during a sale, or as part of a clearance event.
