● 2013 — The Beginning of Our First Store

Our journey began in the spring of 2013, when we opened a small, 800-square-foot store tucked away in Richmond, British Columbia. Back then, we had no grand plans — just a deep love for thoughtfully designed baby products and a wish to make shopping for them easier, more personal, and more joyful for local families.
● 2014 — Building Community

In those early days, we spent countless hours handpicking each item on our shelves — testing strollers, learning about safe sleep practices, and listening closely to what new parents were looking for. Word spread quickly, not through flashy marketing, but through real conversations and recommendations from happy customers. Many of those families still shop with us today.
● 2015 — Opening Our Second Store

By 2015, the little store could no longer keep up with demand, and we opened our second location in Burnaby. This allowed us to expand our partnerships with premium brands — not for the sake of chasing trends, but because we believe in only offering products we’d use for our own children.
● 2017 — Going Online

As more families discovered us, one thing became clear: we needed to serve them beyond our physical stores. In 2017, we launched babysquare.ca, creating an online home where customers could shop from anywhere, at any hour, with the same care and curation they’d find in-store.
● 2022 — Redesigning Our Online Mall

In 2022, we brought in a new development team to completely upgrade our website and shopping system. This included a full redesign of the site for a cleaner, faster, and more intuitive shopping experience — whether on desktop or mobile. We also introduced new features such as our Royal customer loyalty program, improved points redemption, enhanced discount and promotion system, and a more robust inventory management system — all designed to serve our customers better and make every interaction with Baby Square more rewarding.
But most importantly, it remains an extension of the same philosophy that has guided us from day one: people first, products second.
● Today — Looking Ahead

Today, Baby Square proudly serves more than 3,000 families across Canada and beyond. We’re honored to offer not just baby gear, clothing, furniture, and skincare — but also honest advice, friendly support, and a caring community that understands the ups and downs of parenthood.
We are still a small, independent business at heart. Every order you place is packed with care by our team. Every product we carry has been chosen with intention. And every parent who walks through our doors — physical or virtual — is treated like a friend.
